Mission Statement
Empowered by Christ’s love, we partner with indigenous leaders in Thailand and Cambodia to share the Gospel, disciple, educate, and provide holistic care for disadvantaged children within their communities.
Dani’s Story
Name: Dani
Age: 13 years-old
Location: Bang Pli, Thailand
Description: When Dani was just four years old, her dad left the family, and her mom went, in search of work, to Thailand. Left in Cambodia with her grandmother, Dani spent her mornings going to school and her afternoons harvesting mangoes to make ends meet. Dani’s mother loved her very much and wanted to be with her. So as soon as she could, she brought Dani to Thailand to the construction site where she worked. But Dani was terrified of being trafficked there, so she stayed inside…until she found Construction of Hope.
The Need
Over 3.8 million migrant workers came to Thailand from Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar in 2019 alone. Many of them work and live on dangerous construction sites in Bangkok. Children of construction workers are forced to spend their days in unsafe living conditions, often unable to go to school because of their inability to speak the Thai language, their frequent moves from one construction site to the next, and extreme poverty.
Our Response
Since 2012 Construction of Hope has been providing an education, food, and safety to children of construction workers in Thailand. Several years ago, the ministry expanded into Cambodia, where we partner with local leaders to care for orphans and vulnerable children. Most importantly, we have been sharing the good news of Jesus Christ and the hope found only in Him.
